概要
"The End of History' Revisited" was given on June 28, 2007 as part of Long Now's Seminar series.
In this episode of Scienze X Storia, political scientist and author Francis Fukuyama revisits his famous “End of History” thesis and reflects on the state of liberal democracy in the 21st century.
Fukuyama discusses the rise of populism, nationalism, authoritarianism, and geopolitical rivalry in a world that looks very different from the optimistic post-Cold War era in which his original thesis was formulated. The conversation explores whether liberal democracy is still capable of adapting to technological change, economic inequality, political polarization, and the growing influence of powers such as China and Russia.
