For most of my life, I thought creativity was something I could set aside while I focused on being practical.

I went to college. Built a career. Earned a doctorate in physical therapy. Got married, raised kids, and followed the path that seemed responsible and logical.

But underneath it all, there was a creative part of me that never disappeared.

In this episode, I share the story of growing up as a chronic doodler, dropping out of art school, spending decades suppressing my artistic side, and the unexpected journey that brought me back to watercolor during one of the most difficult periods of my life.

What started as a way to cope with stress during divorce became something much bigger—a realization that creativity wasn't a hobby I could choose or reject. It was part of who I am.
