Dr. Naidoo shares how her own response as a child psychiatrist has changed as a young attending to now a mid career attending, and having her own expereince as a patient taking and stopping medications. Dr. Naidoo shares ways for teens to advocate for themselves with their guardians and doctors. The core reflection is developing an honesty with yourself, over the 3-6 month course of trying out different medciations and to weight the potential positives and negatives that you may be experiencing. Remember- BEFORE stopping any medication to please consult your medical team and alert them so that they can monitor you safly and appropriately.
