In this episode of But Did You Die?, we name the quiet fear many strong Black women carry but rarely voice: what if I’m too scarred to be loved well? We talk honestly about survival mode, independence, and the unspoken worry that strength has made us hard to choose or hard to keep. Through a grounded, culturally honest conversation with a Black male therapist, we explore what emotional safety really looks like and whether safe love is still possible. This episodeexists to gently challenge the lie that black women must shrink in order to be loved.
