Ted Bishop and Crystal Morse discuss the parent dynamic in youth golf and how parents and coaches can all work together to help their players succeed!
Crystal and Ted will be speaking at the 2026 PGA National High School Golf Coaches Conference at the PGA Show in Orlando on Thursday, January 22nd at 1:15pm - if you can't make it, sign up to tune in virtually!
- Giving your player freedom to make mistakes without over-coaching them during practices
- Letting golf be an outlet for your player - golf is to be a game that can be enjoyed for life, let it be a way they can escape stress.
- Communication: let your players find their own voice and encourage them to talk to coaches on their own.
- Be open with coaches about struggles your player may have....ADHD, problems focusing, anxiety or physical struggles...the more the coach knows, the better they can coach them.
