Few symbols of Easter feel as closely tied to spring as the rabbit, and for 14-year-old Kestin Marmon, that connection is personal. Marmon raises Netherland dwarf rabbits as 4-H projects. The breed is known for its small frame and fluffy fur. Among Marmon’s rabbits are two does that are mother and daughter, along with a buck named Arthur. “This is Arthur and he’s like a symbol of Easter to me, and he’s very fluffy and very sweet and kind,” Marmon said. Marmon said the season represents renewal. “That’s kind of what Easter is to me is a wonderful fresh start of the year,” Marmon said. The rabbits also love to be held, and Marmon brought help to show them off. “This is my older sister Kyra. She’s 16-years-old and this is my friend Eden. My best friend Eden,” Marmon said. Eden held a rabbit named Lilia. “She’s two years old and she’s a very well-built rabbit as well,” Marmon said.
