In Day 3 of the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, the jury hears from first responders who rushed to the Clancy family's Duxbury home on January 24, 2023. Duxbury police officers describe finding Lindsay injured outside before Patrick Clancy's screams lead them into the basement, where Cora, Dawson and Callan are discovered unresponsive. Firefighters and paramedics recount the desperate efforts to resuscitate all three children. The defense conducts very little cross-examination, challenging only limited testimony concerning Lindsay's injuries, her lack of responsiveness, the administration of Narcan, and the effect the freezing conditions may have had on what responders observed. Day 3 establishes the physical reality and devastating aftermath of the deaths—but leaves the central legal question unanswered: what was happening inside Lindsay Clancy's mind, and was she criminally responsible when she killed her children?
