  • Ep1 - Two Kings of Bengal
    2024/12/31

King Su-Ratha, defeated and exiled from his kingdom, found refuge in a forest where he met a wise Sage, Muni. There, he crossed paths with a merchant, a Vaisya, also cast out by his own family. Both were troubled by lingering selfish feelings and sought answers from the Sage.

The Sage revealed these feelings were caused by the goddess Mahamaya, the Great Illusion, and shared an ancient tale. He recounted how Brahma praised the goddess at the end of a previous Kalpa to save the world from the demons Madhu and Kaitabha, and how Vishnu awakened and defeated them.

Dive into this timeless tale of gods, demons, and divine wisdom!

About: Mahalaya comes alive from the pages of the Markandeya Purana, a timeless tale of gods, demons, and divine power. Thanks to the English edition by F. Eden Pargiter, we can dive into the story in its purest translation. But let’s be honest—many kids and young readers may find it tough to go through the whole text. That’s why I’ve created a simplified version, packed with action, emotions, and comic-book-style storytelling, to help you get started on this incredible journey!

Let me tell you the tale of how Goddess Durga slayed Mahishasura. Let me tell you a story about gods, demons, and a big fight to save the world! In Chapter 1, we meet Mahishasura, a super-strong demon who wants to take over the heavens. The gods try to stop him, but he’s too powerful. So, they come together to create Goddess Durga, a brave and powerful warrior. This is the start of an epic battle between good and evil, full of action and exciting moments. Close your eyes and imagine the scenes as the story comes alive! Perfect for kids who love big adventures. Start listening now!
