What happens when a man disappears for five days after a UFO encounter witnessed by his entire crew?
In this episode of The Curious Soul, Cristina Malavenda and Marty Go sit down with Travis Walton, one of the most widely known alien abduction experiencers in modern American history.
Travis shares what he says happened in 1975 while working as a logger in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Heber, Arizona, when he and six other men encountered a strange glowing craft in the woods.
Moments later, everything changed.
Travis opens up about the blast of energy he says knocked him unconscious, the search that followed, the suspicion his crew faced, and the memories he later recovered about waking up inside what he believes was a craft.
Cristina, Marty, and Travis also explore how his experience was later portrayed in Fire in the Sky, what the movie changed, why he believes the beings may have been trying to help him, and how nearly fifty years of skepticism, scrutiny, and public debate have shaped the way he talks about truth.
The conversation also expands into a later triangle sighting Travis describes near Burbank, UAP disclosure, government secrecy, the possibility of life beyond Earth, and what it means to stay open without losing discernment.
Whether you are fascinated by alien abduction stories, skeptical but curious, or wondering what UAP experiences may reveal about reality, this conversation invites you to consider how much we still do not know.
You'll hear:
• What Travis says happened in the woods in Heber, Arizona
• Why his crew came under suspicion after he disappeared
• What he remembers about waking up after the encounter
• How his story differs from the movie Fire in the Sky
• Why he believes the beings may have been helping him
• What he says about a later triangle sighting near Burbank
• How he thinks people should evaluate what is true
• Why he believes sightings may be reminding us that we are not alone

In 1975, while working as a logger in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Heber, Arizona, he disappeared for five days following a reported UFO encounter witnessed by members of his crew. His account later inspired the 1993 film Fire in the Sky, based on his book The Walton Experience. For nearly fifty years, Travis has continued to speak publicly about what he says happened while facing skepticism, scrutiny, and repeated attempts to debunk his story.
