このコンテンツについて
You know that thing where you say you’re taking a break for “self-care,” but really you’re just avoiding everything you actually need to do? Yeah, that’s this episode.
We’re talking about how easy it is to convince ourselves we’re treating or resting when we’re really just procrastinating with better branding. From rewriting to-do lists to make ourselves feel productive, to diving into impossible routines and burning out fast, we’ve done it all.
This week, we’re coming home to the mess we’ve been avoiding. The unread emails, the workouts we overdid once and never repeated, the goals that felt too big to start small. We talk about how we keep setting unreasonable expectations, then wonder why we fail, and how it actually feels good when we just do one thing at a time instead of trying to fix our whole lives in a day.
It’s an episode about the difference between self-care and self-sabotage, the illusion of “treating ourselves,” and the art of breaking the cycle of avoidance. We’re learning to do less, but do it better.
Casting It Out is a Nashville-based podcast about the chaos of womanhood, reinvention, and existing outside of expectations.
