But somewhere between the thirst traps, recipes, relationship advice, brain rot and oddly specific rabbit holes, we started wondering: Did we create this algorithm… or did it create us?

Do we shape what we're shown, or does what we're shown eventually shape the way we think, shop, laugh, date and see the world? How quickly can an innocent scroll take you from one harmless video straight down the algorithm-to-cult pipeline? And did our TikTok feeds actually feel different before the government's involvement with the platform versus after?

Plus, what's your app of choice? Are you loyal to TikTok? An Instagram Reels bitch? Somehow living your best life on Facebook Reels? Or have you escaped the algorithm entirely?
