Episode 1 Title: The Great Slumber
We meet Elara and Kai in their small Detroit apartment, counting down the seconds to her 40th birthday. The episode builds the tension of the Great Slumber—the moment a citizen of the STEMS District is supposed to enter a permanent, peaceful rest. Elara goes limp, but when she wakes up hours later, she realizes she's still awake and terrified.
