How long it takes to get a new heart is up to us! God puts His Spirit in us so we can follow His lead. We can't keep leading our lives ourselves. If we're in control, we'll limit ourselves! Just receiving Jesus is not enough, it' the voice of His Spirit that has to awaken within us. The Spirit of God is trying to make us more like Jesus! Every relationship hurts, every person we love hurts us. Sometimes we have to let the Spirit of God lead us to the wilderness in order to become more like Jesus. If the Spirit of God is going to lead us, we have to let Him! The Spirit of God sometimes leads us to places we're not going to like and are uncomfortable. What mature people do is work it out and forgive!

Pastor Sergio continues this series talking to us about why those that are led by the Spirit of God are mature sons and daughters of God. It's not good to stay a baby Christian that doesn't know how to be led by the Spirit of God. Until we are mature, we can't experience the inheritance God has for us. We have to be where God wants us to be. We can't believe our own lies. The Word corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right, preparing and equipping us to do right! We are not led by our feelings, we are led by the Spirit! The Word has to be the primary value in our life. Life in the Spirit is not an ocean, it's a river with banks! The Word of God is a boundary for our spirits. We can't win in life when we're out of bounds. Our believe has to match our walks. God will never contradict His Word!
