Wings Sweep Commissioner’s Cup Week; Fever Split vs Dream/Liberty and “Right Team, Right Time” Breakouts
Sylvia and Madeleine recap WNBA highlights, standings, and a “Right Team, Right Time” segment. The Dallas Wings won both Commissioner’s Cup games, beating Seattle 79–56 and Los Angeles 104–96; Arike Ogunbowale scored 30 vs the Sparks, Jessica Shepard had 22, and Paige set/tied a Wings single-game assists record with 14, while Odyssey Sims left with an apparent left ankle injury and Azia James went down late. The Indiana Fever went 1–1, beating Atlanta 83–71 behind Kelsey Mitchell’s 25 (also reaching 5,000 career points) and losing to New York 83–75 despite leading most of the game; Mo Billings posted her best Fever game (15 points, 8 rebounds), and they noted Caitlin’s fast 1,000 points/500 assists milestone and a lopsided Liberty free-throw gap. Standings stayed with Wings fourth and Fever ninth. “Right Team, Right Time” spotlights Veronica Burton, Brittney Sykes, Kennedy Carter, Shepard, and Megan Gustafson. They preview upcoming games and their trip to a Wings–Fire game in Portland.
