If you only take one thing from me ever in your life, please let it be this episode. I grew up and lived a very financially illiterate life. At one point i was working 2 jobs and going to school with a toddler. At one point I was basically living in my car with a child. It didn't matter how hard I worked; I could never pull myself out of the financial hole I was in and navigate alone. It was not easy, and I'll be honest, trading in those habits for new ones was even harder. I have literally been trying things and resetting strategies for 5 years trying to find the thing that works. But here is the thing, the second I figured it out, suddenly I feel rich making the least amount of money I’ve ever made. I suddenly was like oh wow i saved 20 bucks…. then oh hey I have like 75 saved that I don't feel the need to touch, oh now i have almost 400 saved right now…. what!? It’s nothing magical; it really isn't, it's forcing yourself to feel a mental struggle for 2 weeks, on purpose. As a woman, being out of survival mode is vital for the nervous system and the number 1 thing that forced, stopped, closed my old life and catapulted me into my new reality was learning that money is a tool no matter how little or how much you have of it. And I'm going to tell you exactly what I am doing.
