RECOGNIZING PROVISION IN UNEXPECTED PLACES

Desiree used to hold onto her own plans. How she expected things to go. How she thought God should show up. And God has gently helped her let go of that pressure and trust what He's given instead.

She shares four powerful stories of unexpected provision:

The Casino: She thought God blessed her with $5 for a jackpot. Got emotional planning what she'd do for God with the winnings. Got to the casino - the machine she'd played for 10+ years was GONE. God removed it. His provision wasn't the jackpot - it was removal. The $5 went to the homeless man. The $542 came without gambling.

Her Mom's Death: She hoped for a miracle - that her mom would choose to end hospice and keep living. Hoped that by going, her mom would be able to talk. Hoped she'd still be here today. But when she got there, her mom couldn't speak. October 31, 2023, she passed. God didn't extend life - He took her home. His provision was mercy and peace, not the miracle she wanted.

Her Son's Birth: She hoped that through the birth, it would show her husband that God exists. That this would be THE moment everything changed. But that's not what happened. God had a different timeline for her husband's journey. She had to let go of expecting THIS moment to be THE moment.

Quitting Weed: One of the last things she hadn't fully surrendered to God. She expected it to be gentle once she decided. Instead, God tested her HARD for months. Brutal refining. He was showing up - but it wasn't nice. Pressing on the area she hadn't fully surrendered until she did.

The Best Unexpected Provision: God speaks her exact thoughts and words back through people who have no way of knowing. She writes something or says it on the podcast - then her pastor preaches it in his sermon. Same phrases, same concepts, sometimes exact same words. That's when she KNOWS: she's on God's path.
