As Catholics, our funerals serve two different but equally important functions. The first is to offer a chance for a community to share in their grief and support one another. It is a sad time and we often find ourselves in need of comfort.
The second is that we get to celebrate the victory of Christ. Through His death and resurrection we are saved and risen in Him. It is this victory we see in our loved one. It is a time to remember that we will see one another again, by the grace of God.
