概要
If you joined us last week, Mark and I closed the show promising to take a closer look into whether Trump Derangement Syndrome is even real and if so, is it truly a mental illness or just a disorder? Are there different stages and what causes TDS in the first place?
Last week we stated the obvious…if you feel sick…get some help. We used the fever of a sick child analogy...to simply point out that if your kid is sick and has a fever…call in to work and stay home and care for the child vs taking him or her to school to get the other kids sick.
The same discernment or wisdom holds true for adults. If you feel like smashing someones head in or feel the urge to scream at law enforcement officers at the top of your voice with blood vessels popping out of your head…maybe you should call that a sick day, avoid protests of any kind, maybe stay home and take a warm bath.
There’s a lot you could do to make yourself feel better. Isolation for a season would not be a bad idea. I think Mark called it self reflection.
Mark also suggested checking in with other resources…ping what you’ve been told with a completely different source and ponder that perspective / position for a while. Don’t just listen to the one guy offering free kool-aid. He might be a crazy nut job that wants everyone to die for his cause and not yours.
When you're sick and under the weather, the objective is to get well, regardless of what stage the sickness. So maybe we should focus all our energy into how best to do that.
Let's start with a shower. Maybe change the linens on the bed. Open the blinds and let the sunshine in. When you're ready grab a bite to eat, but today choose something different to feed your soul.
Pick up a Bible or a daily devotional or something that is uplifting, encouraging and speaks truth to your soul. Do a Google search of Bible scriptures that speak about how to have a victorious and prosperous life.
There are over 100 scriptures in the Bible that speak about this very topic. That's a lot right? Wonder why there's so many? Maybe our creator knew we were going to need some encouragement and healing along the way.
