The Count survived the classics. Now Dracula enters the modern age.

In Part 2 of The Deja Review's Dracula Special, Mart and Trev continue their journey through the cinematic history of the world's most famous vampire with three radically different versions: Gary Oldman in Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), Gerard Butler in Dracula 2000 (2000) and Luke Evans in Dracula Untold (2014).

Francis Ford Coppola's visually spectacular Bram Stoker's Dracula gave us Gary Oldman's shape-shifting, tragic and extravagantly gothic Count. Dracula 2000 dragged the vampire legend into the new millennium with Gerard Butler and a very different explanation for Dracula's origins. Then Dracula Untold transformed Luke Evans' Vlad into something completely different again — an action-fantasy antihero and an origin story for the legendary vampire.

Mart and Trev break down the performances, vampire mythology, gothic visuals, action, horror, faithfulness to Bram Stoker and the increasingly elaborate Dracula origin stories to see which modern interpretation deserves immortality.
