A unique aspect of DrachenFest US is the incredible youth program, The Drake Academy, which enables families to experience the event together. Samir King is the Drake Academy Coordinator and one of DrachenFest's Child Wellfare Officers. He stops by to tell Carie, Jason, and Ryan about how the program offers kids ages 10-15 a trustworthy, safe way to explore and adventure in the Dragon Isles, while giving parents time during the day to champion for their dragons! The Drake Academy is an in-game adventuring school that teaches kids the combat, magic, and alchemy skills of the game and the roleplaying and community skills they need to be great larpers.

What in the world is the Bazaar at DrachenFest? We invited DrachenFest US City Director Bela Turk to stop by the pod to talk about the incredible things happening in the Bazaar. Carie, Jason, and Ryan get to know Bela while discovering the opportunities that players have in the Bazaar – from shopping real world vendors and interacting with in-game enterprises to learning all kinds of skills from the guilds!
