  • The Holy Spirit understands you
    2026/01/12

Without the Holy Spirit, Christian discipleship would be inconceivable, even impossible. There can be no life without the life-giver, no understanding without the Spirit of Truth, no fellowship without the unity of the Spirit, no Christlikeness of character apart from his fruit, and no effective witness without his power. As a body without breath is a corpse, so the church without the Spirit is dead. Luke is well aware of this and emphasizes the power of the Spirit throughout Acts, especially in Acts 2, which is all about the day of Pentecost, when the Spirit comes.

  • The Holy Spirit is God's Presence
    2026/01/07

In this episode, we explore the Holy Spirit as the personal presence of God—drawing a rich line from the Old Testament to the life of faith today. Beginning with the tabernacle and temple, we reflect on how God chose to dwell among his people through sacred space, glory, and holiness. From the cloud by day and fire by night to the shekinah glory filling the sanctuary, God made his nearness known in tangible ways.

Turning to Psalm 51:11, David’s plea—“Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me”—reveals that God’s presence was not merely architectural, but relational, mediated by the Spirit. Likewise, Psalm 139:7 asks, “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?”—affirming that God’s presence, through the Spirit, is both inescapable and intimate.

This episode argues that the Holy Spirit is the means by which God makes his presence known: not confined to walls, yet truly dwelling among and within his people. Join us as we trace this biblical theology of presence—from tabernacle, to temple, to the Spirit-filled life—showing that God has always desired to be near, and has always come by his Spirit.
