Today I'm joined by Dr. Jenny Radesky, a developmental pediatrician at the University of Michigan and co-Medical Director of the American Academy of Pediatrics' Center of Excellence on Social Media and Youth Mental Health. Her career is built on a simple but radical premise: the problem isn't you, the parent, trying harder to manage screens. The problem is the systems—the design choices, the business incentives, the lack of federal guardrails—that make it almost impossible for families to build authentic connection in the first place.
