概要
In this episode of Our Voices, Our Future, we welcome Dr. Taylor Bachert, an osteopathic family medicine physician practicing near Indianapolis, Indiana, and a national leader within organized osteopathic medicine.
During this episode, we talk about Dr. Bachert’s path into osteopathic medicine, what distinguishes DO training from allopathic education, and how osteopathic principles shape whole-person, patient-centered care. We also explore persistent stigma surrounding DO training, the value of primary care and continuity in a rapidly changing healthcare system, and how osteopathic physicians are uniquely positioned to advocate for both patients and the profession. Dr. Bachert shares practical advice for students and trainees navigating bias, career uncertainty, and burnout.
