But his exposure to freemasonry and connected ritualistic abuse, alongside an accumulation of painful family experiences tied to church hypocrisy, began to obscure his identity, leaving a foundation of dissociation that would eventually cause him to abandon his walk as a Christian. Fueled by a lucrative career and a cush lifestyle, John would soon find himself seeking to gratify every desire of his flesh through the reckless pursuit of alcohol, drugs and women. It's Valentine's Day! And that means that it's Anniversary time for me and my beautiful bride Kelly. Today we are celebrating 8 years of marriage and 12 years together. About a year ago, as God began to reveal the Discipled vision to me, I felt a nudge from the Holy Spirit steering me towards capturing my wife's story as well as our testimony in marriage. I felt strongly that she would need to be an intimate part of our mission, as she and I are one and we share in all the ups and downs of our collective journey in faith together. So I planted a seed with Kelly in 2023 and PRAISE THE LORD I am now able to witness it come into bloom. At 34 weeks pregnant, my wife (who told me that before we recorded her flesh would have chosen childbirth over a public testimony) courageously stepped out in faith to bare her soul and give our listeners an inside look at her personal journey in Christ as well as a unique view into our marriage and what it's been like to support me in my own walk. We pray that this message will be of great impact to you and your families. God has blessed us beyond measure. To Him Be The Glory.

In a hospital bed with a heart transplant looming, Chris was confronted with deep conviction while speaking with a visiting chaplain. The message from The Lord was clear "either you choose to come back to me, or it's over." Chris rededicated his life to Christ in that moment and he accepted a new mission, to introduce his wife to her Savior. God redeemed Chris' life, blessing him with two new hearts, along with a renewed appetite for The Word and a passion for pursuing greater intimacy in his relationship with his faith. In the days that followed, God would plant Chris in a new church that would invite powerful fellowship that would steer his wife and family towards the path of redemption, giving them the strength, hope and peace to endure any trial put in their path.

In this episode, we sit down with Chris Riedy. Chris is an amazing human being with quite a special heart (more on that to come!). Chris grew up well rooted in the Christian faith. His family was involved in the church and he became saved at a young age. An active member of his youth group, Chris assumed the role of evangelist before many of us even understood the meaning of the word. But by his late teens, Chris started to drift from his faith as an identity crisis began to take root in his life through sexual promiscuity and the introduction of a formidable idol, powerlifting. In the years that followed, Chris would find himself in the throes of steroid use and alcohol abuse. He would navigate several broken relationships and deteriorating physical health while trying to maintain a stable identity in his career and in his role as a father. But despite his best efforts, there would be no escaping what was coming…if Chris was going to survive, he would need God to give him a new heart.
