  • Is Botox My Kind of Beauty?
    2025/12/11

Everyone around me seems to have a smooth forehead — but does that mean I should too?

Welcome back to Shoe Therapy, a Dinner for Shoes podcast miniseries that consists of real talk in really good shoes. In this episode, host Sarah Wasilak asks the question so many of us are quietly wrestling with: Is botox my kind of beauty? At 33, Sarah opens up about feeling the pressure to have a smooth forehead in a world (and algorithm) that seems to expect it. She shares her honest back-and-forth on booking — and delaying — her botox appointment, why self-expression feels like her truest form of beauty, and how timeless pieces, like her outfit and favorite jewelry, remind her that originality never goes out of style.

  • My Las Vegas Grand Prix Weekend: Fashion, Food & F1 Magic
    2025/12/03

I’m back from the Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix, and this Dinner for Shoes episode is all about the style and food that shaped the entire weekend. I’m walking through each day — the outfits I packed, events with LEGO and T-Mobile, a Strip Circuit track tour, the Disney x F1 hub, Peloton morning at The Wynn, “The Wizard of Oz” at the Sphere, and even stepping inside the Williams garage. I’m also sharing every memorable meal, from Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen and Carbone Riviera to the roasted potatoes from Wolfgang Puck that I can’t stop thinking about (and had to recreate for today’s “dinner”). If you’re curious what an F1 weekend really looks like through a fashion-and-food lens, here’s my full Vegas recap.

  • Fashion x AI: What’s Really Coming Next (With Whering’s Tracy Guarino)
    2025/11/26
On this episode of Dinner for Shoes, I sit down with fashion-tech powerhouse Tracy Guarino, president of the wardrobe-tracking app Whering. Think of it as your IRL version of Cher’s “Clueless” closet, redesigned for the 21st-century with sustainability at the forefront. We dig into whether AI can really have “taste,” how major brands like Gucci, H&M, and Nike are quietly transforming their creative process with AI data, and why innovation in fashion isn’t about replacing humans — it’s about elevating human creativity. Fashion, identity, tech, and sustainability all collide here. Of course, I also try Tracy’s go-to meal (an algorithmically perfect risotto) while we talk wardrobes and algorithms, and Trish and Kit sniff around out of curiosity.THIS DINNERWild mushroom risotto from The Franklin in Jersey City, NJTHESE SHOESChanel Goatskin & Grosgrain Beige & Black SlingbacksTHIS OUTFITShop my lookCleobella jacketRumored topRŌARI jeansJenny Bird earringsTHESE CHAPTERS00:00 INTRO05:02 THE OUTFIT BEHIND THE SHOES07:30 WHERING FASHION APP10:17 CAN AI HAVE TASTE?13:20 HOW CAN AI HELP FASHION?19:55 HOW NIKE, H&M, & GUCCI USE AI25:45 THE FUTURE OF FASHION X AI28:40 THE ALGORITHM OF PERFECT RISOTTOTHIS PRODUCTIONis created, written, hosted, and produced by Sarah Wasilak.is creative directed and executive produced by Megan Kai.is tech supervised by Nick.includes photos and videos in chronological order by Tracy Guarino, Clueless/Paramount Pictures, Whering, Sarah Wasilak, Vogue Business, Nike, H&M, and KIVISENSE YouTube. references “Is Fashion Ready For the AI Bubble to Burst?” via Vogue Business; “How Nike Is Using AI to Transform Product Design, Customer Experience, and Operational Efficiency” via AIM Media House; “H&M Continues Its Exploration of Creativity With AI” via H&M Group; “Gucci’s AI-Driven Transformation of Luxury Fashion” via AIM Media House; and Gucci Equilibrium. is made with love.Dinner for Shoes is a podcast about style and identity, bridging the gap for anyone who has ever felt like fashion is an exclusive world. 2025/11/12

Welcome back to Shoe Therapy, a Dinner for Shoes podcast miniseries that focuses on real talk in really good shoes. In this episode, host Sarah Wasilak opens up about her evolving relationship with alcohol — why she’s cut back, what she’s learned, and how she’s replacing drinks with social weed gummies on nights out. Sarah shares her honest take on releasing shame around drinking because so many people quietly struggle with the same thing. Her outfit, which is always a nod to the topic at hand, incorporates pops of green to reflect her feeling lighter and clearer.

  • The Search for My Fall 2026 Wedding Dress
    2025/10/23
New York Bridal Fashion Week just wrapped, and as a 2026 bride myself, I couldn’t resist diving into all the fall 2026 wedding dress trends. From the boutonniere bride and boho bell sleeves to bubble hems, cape veils, and the peplum comeback, I’m breaking down the standout looks from designers like Galia Lahav, Oscar de la Renta, Danielle Frankel, and Monique Lhuillier — and deciding which trends feel timeless . . . and which might not make it past the honeymoon.Plus, I share my own bride-to-be dilemma: do I dress for the moment or for forever? And since every Dinner for Shoes episode has a bite, I’m taste-testing a slice of apple pecan crumb cake from Yuki’s Bakery in Hoboken (because Nick and I won’t be doing a traditional wedding cake, so now’s my chance!). Trish even pops in for a sniff.Whether you’re planning your own wedding, manifesting one, or just love a good bridal trend report, this episode is your backstage pass to fall 2026 bridal fashion with a side of dessert.THIS DINNERApple cinnamon pecan coffee cake from Yuki’s Bakery in Hoboken, NJTHESE SHOESZara Faux Fur Sole Heeled SandalsTHIS OUTFITShop my lookGarage dressLovers and Friends jacketBaubleBar necklaceAstrid & Miyu jewelry setAgapée ring THESE CHAPTERS00:00 INTRO02:54 THE OUTFIT BEHIND THE SHOES06:38 WHAT I LOOK FOR IN A WEDDING DRESS12:44 FALL 2026 WEDDING DRESS TRENDS29:49 WEDDING CAKETHIS PRODUCTIONis created, written, hosted, and produced by Sarah Wasilak.is creative directed and executive produced by Megan Kai.is tech supervised by Nick.includes photos and videos in chronological order by Sarah Wasilak, Suess Moments Photography, Popsugar, Galia Lahav, HILÁ, Ines Di Santo, Markarian, Oscar de la Renta, Viktor&Rolf, Jenny Yoo, Danielle Frankel, Savannah Miller, Monique Lhuillier, Nadia Manjarrez, Elie Saab, CINQ, Honor, KYHA, and LEIN.references charity Brides For a Cause, photographer Miranda Suess, and florist Laura Collins. is made with love.Dinner for Shoes is a fashion podcast for people who love food, hosted by editor Sarah Wasilak. • The Most Iconic Movie Outfits Ever: From Penny Lane to Pretty Woman
    2025/10/16
In Dinner for Shoes episode 83, host Sarah Wasilak breaks down her all-time favorite movie outfits — from Penny Lane’s bohemian spirit in “Almost Famous” to Julia Roberts’s polka-dot dress in “Pretty Woman,” Zendaya’s glittering gown in “Malcolm & Marie,” and the Olsen twins’ early-2000s denim in “Holiday in the Sun.” Between fashion nostalgia and popcorn refills (specifically Trader Joe’s Maple & Sea Salt Kettle Corn — because what else goes better with a movie marathon?), Sarah explores how these cinematic looks defined eras, shaped trends, and still influence what we wear today. This episode is sponsored by Golden West, the modern cowboy boot brand bringing ‘70s-inspired craftsmanship to your closet. Sarah’s outfit — a Western-boho nod to Penny Lane herself — was styled with her favorite pair of Golden West boots.Follow Golden West on Instagram and TikTok.THIS DINNERTrader Joe’s Maple & Sea Salt Kettle CornTHESE SHOESGolden West Forget Me Not BootsTHIS OUTFITShop my look Zara topZara skirtZara necklaceMiscellaneous (unknown) earringsTHESE CHAPTERS00:00 INTRO00:44 THE OUTFIT BEHIND THE SHOES07:00 ICONIC MOVIE OUTFITS17:00 MOVIE POPCORNTHIS PRODUCTIONis created, written, hosted, and produced by Sarah Wasilak.is creative directed and executive produced by Megan Kai.is tech supervised by Nick.includes photos and videos in chronological order by Sarah Wasilak, British Vogue Pinterest, Miramax (Pulp Fiction), Golden West, Pinterest user @sophluvscoffee, Pinterest user @cherrywine, Pinterest user @aferraro834, Pinterest user @CynthiaCarolina8, Pinterest user @poopertrooper0975, Pinterest user @rawrphaella, Pinterest user @araeslo, Popsugar, Pinterest user @villhermin, New Line Cinema (Sex and the City), Pinterest user @melll_bby, Pinterest user @Olsen_Twins, Pinterest user @mariehangel, Little Lamb (Malcolm and Marie), Pinterest user @LadyStartdust422, The Weinstein Company (Factory Girl), People Pinterest, and Touchstone Pictures (Pretty Woman). references Wims Pocket-Tonic.is made with love.Dinner for Shoes is a fashion podcast for people who love food, hosted by editor Sarah Wasilak.
