  • Bible Study: Walking in the Spirit / Galatians 5:16-6:1 NASB2020
    2022/05/19

    The text for the study:
    Galatians 5:16–6:1 (NASB 2020)

16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. 17 For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. 19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

25 If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well. 26 Let’s not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

     Chapter 6

     Bear One Another’s Burdens

1 Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well.

    2022/05/14

What comes first: Something necessary or something that is a possibility? Was the resurrection of Jesus Christ possible? But more importantly, was it necessary? What would have happened if Christ had died for our sins but not been raised from the dead? It didn’t seem possible, but it was essential for our salvation to be complete. Let’s find out how much we may be like Thomas in our view of Christ’s death and resurrection.

  • "Time of Our Visitation"
    2022/05/13

The text from the Bible is Luke 19:28-44. The 44th verse states . . . you did not recognize the time of your visitation."

If you were having someone special come to your home, what would you do to make this person feel welcomed? Would you clean the house, put flowers out, and invite people to come and meet your special guest? We would all make special preparations to be ready. When Jesus made His entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the people also did things to make Him feel welcome. They sang praises and waved palm branches. What do we do to make things ready to welcome Jesus into our presence? Let’s find out how to do this in today’s message.
