In this episode we explore research that investigates the role of curling clubs in community health and development, the role curling clubs can play in combatting loneliness and social isolation, and how to build a curling environment that is welcoming, inclusive, diverse, accessible, and inspires all Canadians to make curling a part of their lives in the way that they enjoy it most.
This masterclass is presented by Heather Mair. Heather is a Professor at the University of Waterloo actively researching leisure, sport, and tourism with a keen interest in curling. Mair was central to organizing the Changing the Face of Curling symposium in 2022 and continues to research the impacts of curling within Canadian communities.
