  • Auto-Renew: Lies on Subscription
    2026/03/12

Some subscriptions don't show up on your bank statement.

They show up in the way you can't let go of the wheel. In the silence after you leave a job you gave 23 years to. In the phone you put face-down when you see someone else living the life you quietly stopped believing was still yours.

They renew automatically. Without your permission. Without asking if you still want to carry them.

In Episode 7 of Design Anyway — Auto-Renew: Lies on Subscription — host Yolanda gets personal. Real personal. We're auditing three of the most common lies women auto-pay for every single day:

    🔴 "If I don't do it, it won't be done right."🔴 "I'm only valuable when I'm needed."🔴 "It's too late to change."

One of these has your name on it. Maybe all three.

We're bringing the Word, the science, and the stories — including what Yolanda's son Joshua said that made her clutch every pearl she owned — and we're walking away with five declarations straight from scripture to speak over ourselves all week.

Because God does not auto-renew what He did not author.

Say these out loud. Every day. This week.

✦ "I am not qualified by what I can hold together. My qualification comes from God — and He has already enabled me." — 2 Corinthians 3:5–6

✦ "I do not have to be afraid or carry this alone. God is with me, strengthening me and holding me up right now." — Isaiah 41:10

✦ "I cancel every argument that says my season is over. God began a good work in me and He is still carrying it — all the way to completion." — Philippians 1:6

✦ "I am being healed right now. My wounds are being bandaged. I am not too broken and I am not too late." — Psalm 147:3

✦ "I know the truth. And the truth — not the lie, not the subscription, not the stronghold — the truth is what sets me free." — John 8:32

Save this. Screenshot it. Come back whenever the subscription tries to renew.

🎙️ Part of the Who Told You That series.

Share this — shamelessly — with another woman who needs to cancel some subscriptions. She may already know who she is.

    2026/03/04

Have you ever caught yourself believing you just aren't enough? Today, we are finding exactly where that lie started—and leaving it behind. 👇

As women, we carry around so much invisible weight. The pressure to hold it all together, the fear of falling short, and that quiet, nagging shame that whispers we’re getting it all wrong. But what if those heavy feelings aren't actually the truth about who you are? What if they are just a lie you’ve gotten used to believing?

Welcome to Episode 6 of Designed Anyway: Who Told You That? (Part One).

In this episode, Yolanda Oliver takes us back to the very beginning—Genesis 3. We are looking at the first time a lie was ever told to see how shame sneaked into the human story. It turns out, the enemy still uses those exact same tricks today to make us doubt our worth and question God's heart.

But this episode isn't about making you feel guilty. It’s about setting you free. You'll hear why God never asked us to hide our messy parts. When we feel like we've messed up, God doesn't point fingers—He reaches for us with love and connection.

In our time together today, we talk about:

    • Where "Not Enough" Started: Looking at how one tricky conversation planted the very first seed of doubt.

    • Calling Out the Lies: How to recognize the false stories we've been telling ourselves for way too long.

    • Coming Out of Hiding: Simple, real steps to drop the shame and trust God's deep love for you.

You were designed with purpose, and you don't have to carry that heavy baggage anymore. Hit play, take a deep breath, and let's start healing together!

  • Renovation in Progress: Rebuilding Your Thought Life
    2026/02/18

What if the life you’re trying to change starts with the thoughts you’ve been quietly rehearsing for years?

In this episode of Designed Anyway, Yolanda invites you into a powerful conversation about thought renovation — the intentional work of rebuilding your inner world so it aligns with God’s truth. Drawing from scripture in Ephesians and Romans, personal testimony, and practical exercises, this episode walks you through how renewing the mind leads to lasting personal transformation.

You’ll explore how cognitive distortions and negative mental patterns quietly shape your emotions, decisions, and spiritual confidence — and how to interrupt that cycle. Yolanda breaks down the science of neuroplasticity alongside biblical wisdom, showing how consistent prayer, daily truth declarations, and awareness of destructive thought loops can rewire your thinking for spiritual growth and mental clarity.

This isn’t about surface behavior change. It’s about identifying the root beliefs driving your reactions and replacing them with unshakable God-confidence. If you’ve ever felt stuck in repetitive thinking, weighed down by self-doubt, or hungry for deeper freedom, this episode offers a practical roadmap to begin your own renovation in progress.

    You’ll walk away with:

    • A clear framework for recognizing and challenging cognitive distortions
    • Practical tools for renewing your mind through prayer and scripture
    • Insight into how your brain can be retrained to support healing
    • Encouragement to build a daily rhythm of intentional thought renewal
    • A fresh perspective on spiritual warfare and personal growth

  • What Are You Really Building Your Life On?
    2026/02/04

What are you actually building your life on?

Because if we’re honest, it’s usually something shaky—achievement that never quite satisfies, approval from people who don’t fully know us, control (which… cute idea), or staying so busy we don’t have time to feel what’s underneath.

    And then life shifts.

The promotion doesn’t happen. A relationship ends. Something hits that you didn’t plan for—and suddenly you’re asking, what’s really holding me up right now?

Yolanda knows this place well. After losing her first son, she went into survival mode—stay busy, stay in control, stay moving. It worked… until it didn’t.

This episode is about what happens when you stop building on things that can’t hold you—and start reaching for something steadier. Not from a stage. From experience. From the middle of it.

    If you’ve ever felt like:

    • you’re one rough day away from unraveling

    • you’re worn out from trying to prove you’re enough

    • life keeps shifting and you just want something solid

    You’ll feel seen here.

Listen in. Let it land. And if something hits home, send a message or drop a comment. You’re not doing this alone.

Take a Moment to complete the poll below. I want to hear from you!

  • God Didn’t Give You the Blueprint — Just the Brick
    2026/01/28

What happens when you hear God clearly… and still don’t move?

In this episode, I share a personal moment of hesitation—when fear of failure, anxiety, and the quiet belief that I wasn’t “ready enough” kept me stuck, even though the instruction was clear. Not because I didn’t trust God—but because I was trying to carry the entire outcome instead of the next step.

Using the metaphor of architecture, we explore what it means to see God as the Master Builder—the God of the Holy Bible, the Great I AM, Alpha and Omega—while recognizing our role in the process. He never hands us the full blueprint. He places one brick in our hands and asks us to be faithful with that.

If you’ve been waiting for clarity, confidence, or confirmation before moving forward, this conversation will challenge how you view obedience—and progress.

This episode is for anyone who’s been standing still, overwhelmed by the size of the assignment, and ready to move again… one brick at a time.

🎧 Press play. Your next step might be smaller than you think.

There’s a quick poll on this episode—tap it and answer honestly.
