Politics, freedom, faith, guns, healthcare, work, race, patriotism, happiness – and the myths that shape the world’s most influential nation.

Some Americans proudly wave the flag. Others feel left behind. Together, their voices form a portrait of a country that is far more complex, divided, and human than the news suggests.
