Week 5 is a BIG ONE! On this episode of Deer Camp with the Lindseys, we asked some big buck gurus what their favorite 5 day window of the rut is this year, based on the calendar alone. We know a lot of you have to plan your rut vacation and can't necessarily always play the weather, so if that is the case, you will want to hear this one! Not only that, but if you can play the weather a bit, you still will want to hear these dates! There is one day in particular that is in the center of the Rut Heat Map we generated on our calendar. Not only did we talk dates, but we also discuss utilizing acorns this year to your advantage, letting your property become a temporary sanctuary, and some information on what exactly bucks will be doing during different parts of November. This one is all about November, so buckle up and dive in!

Deer Camp With The Lindseys Week 4 of 2025: Openers in state like Iowa are in sight on the 10 day weather forecast! For some drought stricken states, we finally saw some good rain and it got the deer moving! Unfortunately the weather forecast doesn't have a true cold front in the mix, but there may be enough of a temperature change to get deer up. On top of that, be on the look out for those oak trees! They are starting to drop the acorns and it is going to draw the deer in big time! And like the past two weeks, we have a pretty epic elk camp story from Jeff, as he and David are in Montana on an elk trip they have waited years to go on again. As always, keep practicing with your bow! Just because season is close or has already started doesn't mean you should take a break from practicing!

Deer Camp With The Lindseys Week 3 of 2025! The drought conditions across the country are hitting hard! For all of you out there who have tried to plant food plots, it has not been an easy fall to grow them. We discuss some options to look at to save them, and some options to consider in the future. If you have a big deer you are trying to kill, this may be a good week to lay off of him and try to find something more productive to do, like fill the freezer or other deer work. Not only is this week another weekly forecast, but we have some pretty good stories about two Georgia studs that Jeff and David took down on opening weekend! Additionally, with the dry weather, you may still want to wait a touch to plant your food plots, or if you planted in early to mid-August, you may want to consider some re-plants if you can!
