We're getting close to consolidating all that we've covered regarding Lee Oswald's shooting. But it's important to reconcile Jack Ruby's life after the Oswald shooting until his own, sudden, death in early 1967.

Ruby's conduct and state of mind through the Texas legal system was chaotic and difficult to make sense of. It didn't help that the lie detector test that he was granted was poorly administered either.

Speaking of lie detector tests, Jack Ruby's most ardent accuser within the Dallas Police Department, Sgt. Patrick Dean would be granted his own lie detector test as well, only he was allowed to write his own questions. Yet he still failed it. However, when the HSCA picked up on this lead during its investigations, no record or evidence of Dean's test could be found.

Jack Ruby was incredibly active over the weekend of November 22nd - from being identified behind the wheel of a pickup truck parked up on Elm Street in Dealey Plaza to being at the Texas Theater when Lee Oswald was arrested & his numerous appearances at City Hall over that weekend.

In this episode, we'll track Ruby's movements that weekend and finally lay out how he entered Dallas City Hall in time to shoot Lee Oswald.

Jack Ruby's immediate handling by the DPD was also controversial as it would turn out to be pivotal for his eventual sentencing for premeditated murder the following March of '64.

When or if he admitted how he entered the basement to be in position to shoot Oswald has been heavily contested by researchers ever since but I'm pretty sure I have a good idea how it played out ... and to whom.

At least Jack Ruby's own transfer to the Dallas County Jail ran like clockwork, though!

What took place inside and just outside the Dallas City Hall basement in the minutes prior to Lee Oswald's emergence there, and subsequent shooting, is incredibly interesting.

Police personnel were transferred away from key posts within the basement, unidentified police personnel were witnessed in the same location and up on Main Street, nobody saw Jack Ruby up there.

The plans for Lee Oswald's transfer to the County Jail finally started to come together on the morning of Sunday November 24.

But just what were they exactly and what was done to ensure that the City Hall Basement was prepared for the transfer's start.

In this episode, we'll start to focus on the broader movements of both regular and reserve DPD personnel across that morning. In doing so, we'll start to uncover some suspicious and never properly explained actions of some personnel.
