7. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
INSPIRATION: Yesterday, we addressed the effects of deformity on us all, chief of which was the fact that it incapacitates us. But you can deal with the deformities and eliminate the incapacitation. Do not go about medicating the symptoms without applying any remedies to the problem. The lame man wanted alms instead of a proper solution to his predicament. But Peter was discerning enough to know what he needed was to be taken by the right hand and lifted up! Once he did that, strength came to his feet and ankle bones.
What is that area where you so badly need to be 'lifted'? Have you identified the areas where you've become weak and drained of strength? If you got the required help today, would you take some positive action like leaping up, standing and walking? Would you walk, leap and praise God (Acts 3: 8)? Or you would rather remain in your pitiable state like most people would want to do, giving a permanent residence to temporary situation? His deformity wasn't a permanent one but he could have stayed on it rather than get the desired help!
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
Deal with your deformities now before they assume a permanent status. Get the right help and quit medicating the symptoms!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please guide me to the right and permanent solution to every form of deformity and incapacitation that life and circumstances may have imposed on me. Give me the courage to act right and in positive response to the help I receive. I will not stay down, I will not malfunction or underperform on duties within my current status, in Jesus name.
