Paul had a plan. Swing south to Ephesus, a major metropolitan target, and plant the gospel in the crown jewel of Asia. The Holy Spirit said no. So he turned north toward Bithynia. The Spirit of Jesus said no again. Two closed doors in rapid succession, and Paul was left walking through unfamiliar territory with no clear destination. He ended up in Troas, a coastal town, waiting in the fog. That's where God finally broke the silence. A vision came in the night: a man from Macedonia pleading, "Cross over and help us!" Paul's team processed it together, concluded God was calling them into Europe, and immediately set sail. Closed doors turned out to be guidance. In this episode, Luke himself joins the team and the trajectory of the gospel bends toward the West.
