Safety isn’t comfort. Discomfort is necessary for human transformation and capacity.
In this episode I explore what it really means to create safety so that this can happen.
Our nervous systems learn from experiences and how those patterns can shape the signals we send to others without us even realising.
We often talk about nervous system safety, but safety does not mean comfort. It means creating environments where people feel safe enough to be uncomfortable, to take risks, be curious, make mistakes and grow.
Whether you are a teacher, leader, coach or business owner, the way you show up impacts the people around you. When we understand the language between our body and our brain, we gain the awareness and choice to respond differently.
This is the foundation of creating cultures where people can truly belong, not by conforming, but by being able to show up as themselves while continuing to grow.
