Abram comes home from battle with every reason to take the credit and take the money, and then he does something that still confronts us today: he gives a tenth to Melchizedek and refuses to let the king of Sodom claim, “I made Abram rich.” That single scene in Genesis 14:19-24 opens a bigger conversation about tithing, generosity, and Christian stewardship that is less about math and more about who you believe owns heaven and earth.
