  • 93. You Belong: God's Take on Comparison
    2025/04/25

Have you ever looked around and felt like you didn’t belong—even in spaces where you’ve shown up faithfully? In this heartfelt and vulnerable episode, I share my personal journey of wrestling with comparison, grief, delayed dreams, and the quiet question many of us ask:
“Why would God show me what I’ll never have?”

Through real-life reflection and biblical insight, I explore how God lovingly reveals the places in us that still need healing—not to punish us, but to draw us closer to His love. Whether you’re navigating delayed dreams, childhood wounds, or that ache to feel truly seen and supported, this episode is for you.

You are not too late. You are not too broken. And you are not disqualified.

    Scriptures Referenced:

    Psalm 139:1–2 (NIV)
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
    You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.

    Isaiah 61:3 (NIV)
…and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

    John 4:29 (NIV)
“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did.
    Could this be the Messiah?”

  • 90. How to trust God's Timing with Confidence: 3 Practical Steps
    2025/04/04

Welcome back to Curious for Christ! Trusting God’s timing is one of the biggest challenges in our faith journey. Why does waiting feel so hard? And how do we shift from frustration to peace? Today, I’m sharing three key steps to help you trust God’s process with confidence.

3 Steps to Trusting God’s Timing

    1. Release Control – Trust begins when we surrender our expectations and let go of the need to understand everything. God’s plan is higher than ours (Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 55:8-9).
    2. Embrace the Waiting – The waiting season is not wasted; it’s preparation. Instead of asking when, focus on who God is shaping you to become (Jeremiah 17:6-8, Lamentations 3:22-23).
    3. Walk in Faith, Not Fear – Trusting God’s timing doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means stepping forward in faith, even without all the answers (Psalm 37:5, Matthew 17:20, Joshua 1:9).

    Scriptures Shared in This Episode

    • Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
    • Isaiah 55:8-9 – God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours.
    • Galatians 5:1 – Christ has set us free—trusting Him leads to true freedom.
    • Jeremiah 17:6-8 – Those who trust in the Lord flourish, even in difficult seasons.
    • Lamentations 3:22-23 – God’s mercies are new every morning.
    • Psalm 37:5 – Commit your way to the Lord, trust Him, and He will act.
    • Matthew 17:20 – Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains.
    • Hebrews 11:6 – Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
    • Joshua 1:9 – Be strong and courageous; the Lord is with you wherever you go.

    Final Encouragement

If you’re struggling with God’s timing, know that you’re not alone. The process takes time, but God’s plan is always perfect. Have you ever looked back and realized He was working all along? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

If this episode encouraged you, share it with a friend and leave a review. Until next time—keep trusting, keep seeking, and keep walking in faith!

  • 89. Becoming Who God Created You to Be: Wrestling Through the Process
    2025/03/28

In today’s episode, we’re diving into the process of becoming—the ongoing transformation that happens as we step into who God created us to be. It’s not always a smooth journey. In fact, it often involves struggle, uncertainty, and deep wrestling with our identity, our past, and even with God Himself.

Through my personal story and the powerful biblical account of Jacob wrestling with God, we’ll explore what it means to be refined through struggle and step into the identity God has for us. If you’ve ever felt like you’re stuck in between who you were and who you’re called to be, this episode is for you.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
    • How struggles can actually be part of God’s refining process
    • Why wrestling with God isn’t about resistance—it’s about transformation
    • Lessons from Jacob’s encounter with God in Genesis 32
    • Practical steps to step into your God-given identity
    • How surrendering to God doesn’t mean losing—it means becoming

    Key Scriptures to Reflect On:

    • Genesis 32:22-32 – Jacob’s wrestling with God and his transformation into Israel
    • Romans 12:2 – The renewal of our minds as part of our transformation
    • 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Stepping into our new identity in Christ
    • Psalm 46:10 – The importance of stillness in hearing God’s voice
    • Romans 5:3-4 – How struggles shape our endurance, character, and hope

Practical Next Steps for Your Journey:
    1. Acknowledge your emotions and bring them to God (1 Peter 5:7)
    2. Renew your mind daily with Scripture (Romans 12:2)
    3. Surrender your struggles and trust the process (Matthew 11:28)
    4. Create moments of stillness to hear God’s voice (Psalm 46:10)
    5. Embrace the struggle as part of your transformation (Romans 5:3-4)
    6. Keep seeking God through prayer and wisdom (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
    7. Let go of your past and step into the new (2 Corinthians 5:17) - which also involves forgiving yourself in the process

    Final Thoughts
Becoming who God created you to be is a lifelong process, not a one-time event. Like Jacob, we may walk away from our struggles with scars, but they are marks of transformation, not defeat. If you’re wrestling today, know that you are not alone—God is with you, shaping you, and preparing you for what’s ahead.

I’d love to hear how this episode spoke to you! Share your thoughts, tag me on social media, or send me a message. If this encouraged you, consider sharing it with a friend who needs to hear it too.

Until next time, stay curious, stay faithful, and keep wrestling toward who God has called you to be.
