  • 27. The Death of Elevator Etiquette, Bad Movie Actors, & Sibling Betrayal
    2026/07/25

Welcome back to Episode 27 of Cry Harder! Chris Black is diving straight into a massive show filled with rants, movie reviews, and some brutal honesty. On today's docket: the unwritten rules of elevator buttons, the exact circumstances where A1 steak sauce is acceptable, and a passionate rant against board games killing the vibe at parties.

Chris also delivers a packed movie review segment, calling out terrible acting in Space Oddity, breaking down Ryan Gosling in Project Hail Mary, and questioning the insane timeline of Sweet Home Carolina. Then, in Relationship Advice, Chris weighs in on a devastating sibling betrayal and explains why peace is worth moving away for.

Wrap it all up with a Grandmom Vivi update, a multicolored grilled cheese review, and our brand-new outro.

  • 26. The Outdoor Dining Delusion & In-Law Interventions (with Grandmom Vivi)
    2026/07/18

Chris Black is back, and the dumpster fire is burning brighter than ever! This week on Cry Harder, Chris is joined by a very special guest: his mother-in-law, Vicki (aka Grandmom Vivi). Together, they tackle a jam-packed episode full of mutual grievances, tech exhaustion, and high-stakes drama.

Here is what’s on the chopping block today:

    • The Outdoor Dining Delusion: Chris goes on an absolute tear about why eating outside is a collective lie we all tell ourselves. From the "bug tax" to wobbly patio infrastructure and aggressive bird surveillance, it's time to bring dinner back to the air conditioning.

    • Airport Etiquette 101: Grandmom Vivi delivers her rant of the week, taking aim at the absolute menace of people who crowd the baggage claim carousel when their luggage isn’t even there yet. Take a step back, people!

    • Tear Factor: The duo reacts to the internet's latest frustrations. First, they break down the absolute nightmare of oversensitive car safety features that do more harm than good (including a real-life close call in Vivi's car). Then, they discuss why dealing with people who have severe anger issues is completely intolerable.

    • Relationship Advice: Chris and Vivi weigh in on a shocking viral dilemma where a man asks his pregnant wife for a paternity test after catching her texting anatomy scans to another man. The verdict? Get a lawyer immediately.

If you loved today's chaos, make sure to subscribe! We'll be right back here next Saturday to fan the flames.

  • 25. St. Thomas Travel Diary, Luxury Ritz Rants & Is the Island in Decline?
    2026/07/11

Hi, I'm Chris Black, and I’m back. After a heavy couple of weeks paying tribute to my brother, we pushed forward with our trip to St. Thomas, and I have thoughts. In this episode of the Cry Harder Podcast, I'm giving you the unfiltered breakdown of our Caribbean getaway.

From the long, sleepless flights to staying at the Ritz-Carlton, we hit up St. John, Cruz Bay, Windmill Restaurant, and even cruised over to Jost Van Dyke for a drink at the Soggy Dollar. We played tennis, celebrated America's 250th anniversary with a BBQ, and I met the owner at Tarpon's Table in Red Hook.

But it wasn't all picture-perfect paradise. I'm deep-diving into why St. Thomas feels like it might be in decline. I will be talking about the foul, rotten-egg stench of the Sargassum seaweed invasion, the island's fragile, failing power grid, the sad decline of shopping in Charlotte Amalie, and lingering economic scarring from Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Now I'm back in San Diego recovering from a long week of work. If you loved today’s dumpster fire, hit subscribe. We’ll be right back here next Saturday to fan the flames on Cry Harder.
