Crossmind is a podcast of imagined conversations across time made possible by AI.

In each episode, we bring two or three minds who never could have met into the same conversation. They may be separated by centuries or come from entirely different fields: philosophers and scientists, ancient thinkers and modern figures, novelists and revolutionaries.

Each episode places them around a different theme and lets their ideas confront one another:

If Karl Marx and Peter Thiel debate whether monopoly is a pathology of capitalism or the rightful reward of innovation; Wang Yangming and Demis Hassabis ask whether an intelligence without action or lived experience can truly “know”; or Sigmund Freud and Zhang Yiming confront whether algorithms merely discover human desire—or actively manufacture it? What might happen if these minds, separated by time, could truly sit down and speak to one another?

There are no definitive answers—only different eras, civilizations, and ways of thinking meeting, colliding, and contending with one another over the same question.

Every episode is a fictional creation featuring AI-generated voices. The characters’ dialogue draws on their published works, public statements, and broader intellectual traditions. It does not represent the real individuals and should not be treated as authentic quotation.

By bringing together minds separated by time, we hope to offer a new perspective on the questions of our own age.
