On this podcast, I'll show you how to turn creativity and hobbies into tools for purposeful motherhood and homemaking. You'll learn practical ways to find your god given gifts through prayer, homemaking and holy habits so that you can then use those to service God, family , and community for a more peaceful and joyful life Hey, I'm Ally. A wife, mom, and creative homemaker, and honestly, I used to believe I had to choose between being a good mother and pursuing the creative things I loved. I was overwhelmed, unsure if I was doing enough, and constantly wondering how to create a home that truly reflected my faith. I was trying to fit faith into the margins, feeling guilty for wanting something beyond the daily to-do list, occasionally the financial guilt of frivolous spending and unsure how my creativity fit into this season of raising a family. Everything changed when I stopped seeing hobbies as something separate from homemaking and started using them as tools to support it. I discovered that creativity wasn't competing with my role as a wife and mother—it was strengthening it. By embracing the gifts and interests God had given me, I cultivated a home filled with beauty, purpose, and opportunities to live out our faith in everyday life. By using my gifts intentionally, I created a home where creativity, femininity, and faith worked together. Instead of feeling pulled in different directions, I found meaningful ways to use my passions that served my family and community, created a peaceful atmosphere at home, and truthfully refilled my cup. As a Christian wife, mom, and homemaker, the atmosphere of our home is one of the greatest responsibilities and honors we could ask for. From the moment someone walks in, our home can create a sense of warmth, coziness, and Christ, without us even having to speak! We start with understanding how the atmosphere we strive to create should take all 5 senses into consideration. Then we chat about the importance of beauty in the home, especially through art. I encourage you to grab your prayer journal, favorite pen, and get cozy in your favorite chair.
