  • July 11: Recovering from the storm
    2026/07/11

    Good morning! Today I’m at the stormwater pond between Boulonnais Grove and Paseana Place, and Terry Fox Drive (stormwater facility #1353). Stormwater ponds play a major role in flood control during major rain storms like the one we saw on July 1. This pond provides overflow capacity for the surrounding neighbourhood, and outlets via the Monaghan Drain to the Jock River and eventually the Rideau River.
