The Conservatives have lost another seat in Parliament after Prime Minister Carney appointed Quebec MP Richard Martel to Canada's Senate. Also receiving a seat in the Red Chamber is longtime Liberal strategist, and Carney's current Principle Secretary, Tom Pitfield.
