This interview is with Ryan Foust, who plays Chad in 'Nimrods,' a coming-of-age film that was produced by Green Day. In it, Tommy meets the punk band at a record store signing and offers Green Day his band’s demo, in the hopes of getting noticed. Tommy’s older brother pulls a prank on him and convinces Tommy that his band has been invited to open for Green Day at a New Year’s Eve concert. Tommy, Fred, and Chad hit the road and travel from Kansas to LA, believing that this might be their only chance to break into the music scene.
'Nimrods' is currently in theatres, and in my conversation with Ryan, you’ll learn more about what it was like for him to learn to play the drums, some BTS info on the film’s live performances, and how he approached his car-stealing scene and his punk bunny moment on stage with Green Day.
