概要
This interview is with Amy Landecker, who directed, wrote, and starred in ‘For Worse’, a rom-com that premiered at SXSW last year and is finally arriving in Canadian theatres and on VOD in the US starting April 3.
The film follows Lauren, a recently divorced woman in her 50s who decides to enroll in an acting class and begins a relationship with a much younger colleague. The latter invites her to be his date to a wedding (the first wedding she attends after her divorce) and things spiral out of control. It is in this chaotic turn of events that Lauren finds a new lease on life and her ideal match.
In this conversation with Amy, you’ll learn more about how ‘For Worse’ is loosely inspired on her own experiences, how the ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ reference in the film is more connected to the plot than you would think, and her hopes for mid-life representation on screen.
