  • Venture Minerals Limited - Discussion on the significance and economics of Tin.
    2022/07/06
Coffee with Samso Episode 148 Venture Minerals Limited (ASX:VMS) is currently undergoing a phase of preparing a Feasibility Study and its time to talk Tin Remember this #GreenTin Song: The Green metal and No Emission movement has made the plight of the Tin Story important for Investors. Venture Minerals may be an accidental recipient of the Green Metal movement. This episode of Coffee with Samso Episode 148 with Andrew Radonjic, the Managing Director, is all about Tin. This is an episode which focus on why Tin is a significant commodity. Andrew has just come back from his travels where he attended a Tin conference. We help dissect his learnings from the conference and bring out what he had learned and share it with the Samso audience. Tin is an underrated metal which like the unloved element of the technology. It is not given the credit that it deserves. As we described in the conversation, it is the glue of technology. every part of the new world of no emission and the electrification of progress needs tin. If you take the supply issue of non ESG compliant sources, there will be a big issue for tin users. For those people who see this need for realisable ESG compliant source of tin, this is a great time to look at companies like Venture Minerals. What audiences need to ignore is the other so called sources of tin who claim that they are production ready. If that is the case, why are they not producing already. I strongly encourage potential investors to reach out to Andrew to ask him what is the difference between what can happen and what will never happen. I made this video to give an insight to what could be a real game changer in terms of the need for tin. The uses of tin are increasing and there is now talk of tin being a vital component of lithium battery anodes. Some people may call this a pipe dream but so was the vanadium battery. If the so called Lithium-Tin solid battery anodes comes to fruition in the coming years, this will completely change the tin market. The same factors that are driving the High Purity Alumina industry that is driven my Kaolinite-Halloysite is also being seen with the tin sector. There are now some serious conversation on how tin will play in the carbon capture, water treatment and heat harvesting. As we all agree, the need for these conversation to turn into reality will be high on the agenda but reality may be a distance away. What is the important part is that it is happening now. I hope this episode of Coffee with Samso will give audiences some concept of the tin market and its uses which will make tin a major player of the new no emission electrification of energy world. Chapters: 00:00 Start 00:20 Introduction 01:25 Andrew updates 09:56 The Indonesian Tin Story? 15:37 Market discussion from the Tin conference. 20:01 Tin moving into the "high tech" uses sector. 24:24 Tin moving into the battery sector. 30:14 The introduction of a tin related battery? 31:28 The hurdle of finding new tin deposits and a tin producing mine? 32:26 Project updates? 38:53 The summary of tin. 39:43 Andrew closing summary. 41:06 Conclusion

  • The Risk - Reward Myth of Mineral Exploration: Jon Hronsky
    2021/03/22
Coffee with Samso Episode 76 is with Jon Hronsky, of Western Mining Services   Mineral Exploration has always been thought of as the highly speculative and hence is a high risk investment. Jon Hronsky, a geoscientist of the last 37 years shares his thoughts on why this is not true.   I met Jon way back in the late 1989 when I was in my second year of my undergraduate geology studies. I have casually been following his work since then and value his high level (regional) targeting strategies.   One of the hardest things to research are the myriad of projects that exist in companies in ASX. Over the years, I have been asked many times what I think of the projects in this company of that company. What is hard to comment on is the legacy that exist in these projects. If you do not know the history or the content of management, this is extremely hard to give a "correct" answer.   The general consensus is that if there is historical history of mineralisation, this will be a better project. As many experienced proponents of this sector will tell you, this is not anywhere near sufficient information to make a "intellectual" comment. There are way too many other information required before it comes near the point of an "educated" estimation.   Jon Hronsky comes form a breed of mineral exploration that looks at the picture and this is what I call the need for the right ingredients. I am talking about greenfield projects where the "out of the box" thinking have taken the "risk" to chase the potential. These kind of projects normally comes up with the greatest rewards for investors.   In this episode, Jon shares with us his thoughts on mineral exploration and why he thinks the Empress Springs project is a great example of the First Mover Strategy for Moho Resources Limited (ASX; MOH) .   This is the biggest coherent anomaly I have seen. - Jon Hronsky on the Empress Springs project. The risk for investors is realistically less for greenfield exploration as opposed to advanced projects.

  • Adavale Resources Limited (ASX:ADD) - Dominant landholding in the East African Nickel Belt.
    2022/07/11
Rooster Talk Episode 60 is with David Riekie, Executive Director - Adavale Resources Limited (ASX: ADD) The Dominant land holding in the East African Nickel Belt. David Riekie, the Executive Director of Adavale Resources update us on the exploration activities of the company. It has been a while since we had Adavale on the Samso platform. This episode of Rooster Talk is all about the East African Nickel Belt. As in all of the exploration stories that have merits, the process is usually lengthy and is filled with ups and downs. Over the years of hearing all sort of stories, the ones that reap rewards have always been the nondescript types. Their process is always very subtle to silent and then a discovery happens. When that happens, investors get the feeling that it is an overnight success. Trust me, it is never an overnight success. The easiest example is the discovery made by Galileo Mining Limited (ASX: GAL) - Galileo Mining Limited (ASX: GAL) - Palladium Discovery - Persistent Mineral Exploration Rewarded. I do feel that Adavale falls into this type of category. Great exploration potential in a known Nickel belt. AS we discover in this episode of Rooster Talk, Adavale is all about the East African Nickel Belt. I have interviewed many companies with different stories but the ones that are most memorable are the green roots categories. These are the stories that need strong minds and character and a focused management for success. Management need to be believers of the story. As I heard from a recent podcast, Entrepreneurs need to believe their own Bull#@&t. Adavale is a story that has been developing for over 12 months and if you look over the recent videos with Allan Ritchie, the focus on developing the Tanzanian assets have not changed. In this episode, David highlights that the East African Belt is the key to the Adavale story. What we need to appreciate is that this belt could be the Kambalda Nickel Belt. Chapters 00:00 Start 01:05 David updates 04:59 How Geophysics is helping Adavale. 07:22 The refinement with Geophysics 10:09 How should investors capture the Adavale Story? 13:46 What has the feedback been from investors? 16:44 What is the Jurisdiction standing? 20:04 How has the market turbulence affected Adavale? 22:59 What is the News flow for investors? 24:26 Why Adavale? 25:51 Conclusion
