    I mentioned sensory acuity in series 3 episode 5, and in this episode I explore the topic in much greater detail.

    Sensory acuity is all about learning to understand consciously the unconscious communication from others. We do this unconsciously, which is the reason we get a sense, a feeling about that others are saying, a sense of things not quite adding up. If we learn to recognise that consciously, it opens up a whole new level of communication.

    Within sensory acuity is the importance of eye accessing cues, which gives real insight.

    In this episode, I explore everything linked to rapport. It's a skill which we all have to a greater or lesser extent. Some just naturally build rapport, whereas others have to work at it.

    The good news is that it is something that we can all learn to do better. With some understanding of what we do to build rapport, you can fast-track the process which sometimes happens very quickly whereas at times it can be a slow process.

    It's remarkable to realise that our entire experience of the world only exists in our thoughts. The NLP Model of Communication explains how this happens, shedding light on how we experience, process, and store our experiences, and how we then recall those stored memories.

    Once you understand the model, you have invaluable insight into how we communicate and, at time, miscommunicate. Suddenly, it all makes so much sense.
