Find yourself somewhere comfortable, sitting or lying down. Even if it's just on the edge of your bed before your feet hit the floor. You don't need a meditation cushion or perfect posture. You just need to be here.

Now, let's start simple. Take a gentle inhale through your nose for a count of four. One, two, three, four. Hold it for just a moment. Then exhale through your mouth for a count of six. Let that out like you're breathing out any urgency from the night before. Again. Inhale for four, exhale for six. Good. We're going to continue breathing this way, but now I want you to notice something.

As you breathe in, imagine inhaling clarity. Not as an abstract idea, but as something real. Maybe it's a color for you—silver, gold, or soft blue light filling your chest and spreading to your belly. Exhale whatever feels heavy or unclear. Maybe it's gray smoke, maybe it's just the weight of unfinished thoughts. There's no right answer here.

Keep breathing. Four counts in. Six counts out. Notice how your body feels against whatever's holding you. The slight firmness of the surface beneath you, the weight of your shoulders, the gentle movement of your chest. You're here. Fully here. Not in the inbox. Not in the future. Right now.

As you continue breathing, repeat silently: "I am clear. I am calm. I move through this day with intention." Say it slowly with your exhales. Not like you're trying to convince yourself. Just like you're remembering something you already know to be true.

Take three more breaths this way on your own. The clarity is already in you.

As you open your eyes, remember this feeling. Carry this breath with you through your first conversation, your first email, your first choice. You've just practiced choosing clarity before reacting to the day. That's real power.
