• The Writings of John // (Part 20) - Ps. Tiffany Townsend
    2026/08/24

In this message, we unpack Revelation 2:12–17 and Jesus’ message to the church in Pergamum. Although they remained faithful to the name of Jesus in the face of persecution, they had begun tolerating false teaching, idolatry, and sexual immorality. When the enemy cannot intimidate believers into abandoning Christ, he will often attempt to seduce them into compromising with the world.

This message challenges us to allow the sharp, double-edged sword of God’s Word to examine every area of our lives. Whether it is money, sexuality, success, comfort, entertainment, or the approval of others, nothing can compete with our devotion to Jesus. Christ calls His Church to reject mixture, repent of compromise, and return to wholehearted obedience.

  • The Writings of John // (Part 19) - Ps. Jason Townsend
    2026/08/17

In this message, we unpack 1 John 2:15–17 and John’s uncompromising call to choose between love for the Father and love for the world. Following Jesus is not about doing the bare minimum or simply wearing the Christian label. It is a life of total surrender, where every desire, decision, priority, and possession is placed under the lordship of Christ.

Through the cravings of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and pride in our achievements and possessions, this message reveals how anything can become an idol when it receives the devotion that belongs to God alone. There is no neutral ground. We will become slaves to whatever we choose to obey.

This message challenges us to get off the fence, flee from idolatry, and offer our whole lives to God as living sacrifices. Surrender is not perfection, but it is an intentional direction. The question is not whether we are capable of deep surrender. The question is who or what will receive it.

  • Bound To Time // Ps. Mark Evans
    2026/08/10

In “Bound to Time,” Pastor Mark Evans explores how God uses seasons, waiting, and the passing of time to reveal what pressure alone cannot. Through Ecclesiastes 3:10–11, we are reminded that God makes everything beautiful in its proper time, even when we cannot yet see the full scope of what He is doing.

Time tests our trust, exposes our motives, forms our character, and brings what is hidden in the heart to the surface. It transforms what we believe about God into what we have personally experienced of Him. In time, seeds become harvests, wounds become wisdom, and promises become testimonies.

What if the season you are trying to escape is the very season God is using to reveal His faithfulness? This message challenges us to trust the Father with what He has not made beautiful yet, knowing that while the beauty may still be hidden, God is faithfully forming it.

In our current sermon series, The Writings of John, we explore 1 John 2:12–14 and ask what causes our hearts to burn the brightest. This message challenges us to keep Jesus on the throne of our hearts, remain anchored in the true Gospel, and remember who we are because of His finished work. When our hearts burn for Jesus, there is less room for the things of this world, and our lives begin to reflect the transforming power of Christ.
