- Fire comes down from heaven to consume the sacrifices; the Lord appears to Solomon at night with promises of blessing for obedience and warnings of judgment for turning away.
1 Corinthians 2:1-16
- Paul reminds the Corinthians that he came not with lofty speech or human wisdom but proclaimed Christ crucified in weakness and dependence on the Spirit.
