1 Chronicles 20:1-8

- Joab leads the army to besiege and capture Rabbah of the Ammonites while David remains in Jerusalem, taking the king's crown and much spoil.

- Battles against Philistine giants in Gezer result in their defeat by David's mighty men, ending further threats from the Philistines.

Psalms 32:1-11

- Blessed are those whose sins are forgiven and covered, with no deceit in their spirit, as David experienced relief after confessing his transgressions.

- The godly are urged to pray while God may be found, to not be like stubborn horses, and to rejoice in the Lord's steadfast love and deliverance.

Psalms 51:1-19
