In Memphis, B.T. Washington is enjoying his retirement after serving in the United States Air Force for 30 years. While he spent most of his time helping others by volunteering, he's forced to help himself after his chronic kidney disease begins to threaten his life.
Together with his wife, Gemma, B.T. took up the challenge to fight back against his illness while continuing to enjoy life with his antique cars, prized hens, and Motown music.
